Winners are Singers at the Lismore Eisteddfod

Some very talented young performers have been singing their hearts out today as part of the 2015 Lismore Eisteddfod.

Fourteen year old Sharlee Ryan took out 3rd place singing Electricity, a song from Billy Elliott the musical, written by Elton John and Lee Hall.

Alfie Johnson, a multi instrumentalist at the tender age of 10, won 2 first places and received a Highly Commended. He sang (among other selections ) Feelin’ Groovy, 59th Street Bridge Song by Simon and Garfunkle.

Both Sharlee and Alfie are taught by one of our skilled teachers here at the Conservatorium, vocal tutor Kristy Turner. Kristy is an active singer/songwriter and a graduate of Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Contemporary Music majoring in performance and voice.

If you are keen to sing, or interested in developing your vocal technique, why not enrol at the Northern Rivers Conservatorium. Enrol online or give us a call on 6621 2266. Term 4 starts soon.
