Features of 2018 Eisteddfod

This year the Dance Sections will be held from August 21 to August 29.  The Lismore City Hall is renowned for the size of, and surface quality of the stage, and availability of dressing rooms. This year, three new dance styles have been added. The troupes days of August 25 and 26 are highlights.

The Vocal and Instrumental sections will be held from September 7 to 17, at the Lismore Workers Club. This venue is ideal – the auditorium stage is a fitting setting, the piano is excellent and our adjudicators enjoy the acoustics.

The Spoken Word sections will be held on 15 September, in a spacious and light filled room at the Wilson Park School, on Wyrallah Road. Spoken Word has always been an integral part of the eisteddfod  tradition. Students compete in a variety of sections, such as: prose and poetry speaking, write and read their own prose and poetry,  present a monologue,   mime/improvisation, stand-up comic routine and character recital.
